Slender Man

Slender Man (also known as Slenderman) is a fictional character that originated as a creepypasta

Creepypastas are horror-related legends or images that have been copied and pasted around the Internet. These Internet entries are often brief, user-generated, paranormal stories intended to scare readers.

Slenderman was created by Something Awful user Eric Knudsen (also known as “Victor Surge”) in 2009. He is depicted as a thin, unnaturally tall humanoid with a featureless head and face and wearing a black suit.

The Slender Man recordings is about a young girl who call 911 and tells them that she and her brother are being watched by a tall man. The operater tells her he is sending the police but to hide in the bathroom until they get there.

This call has been documented, and is another recording of Paranormal Activity that took place in Mississippi, in 1993, This is the first recording under case file 47911 that has the Slender mans voice, other recordings may be recorded.

The first “recording” of Slenderman was in 1993, but he wasn’t known by that name then. There is a recording on YouTube, follow the link and you can listen to it. Other people say that Eric Knudsen based his character on this local legend that really happened. And not the other way around.

Slender Man

For all the people who think it is fake, recently, beginning in 2014, a moral panic occurred over the Slender Man after readers of his fiction were connected to several violent acts, particularly a near-fatal stabbing of a 12-year-old girl in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The girls who committed the stabbing said “The Slenderman” told them to do this, as described him as a real person and not a fictionalized character.
